Something has been brewing on James Street! Glasstown Brewing Company is set to open its doors on May 20 and will begin serving locally brewed craft beer and a wonderfully curated menu.
The idea to bring an upscale brewery and taproom to Wallaceburg came from the owner and founder, Todd Shepley. He got the inspiration for Glasstown after travelling extensively through the US for his work in the tool and die industry, and would often find himself visiting different breweries situated along various riversides. It didn’t take long for him to realize he could bring the same experience to Chatham-Kent. Todd has big plans to revitalize downtown Wallaceburg, and is just getting started!
The fully renovated building located at 331 James Street, Wallaceburg, will initially offer a café and wine bar, a restaurant, a taproom and a large and bustling patio overlooking the river. Future plans will include a whiskey lounge, event spaces and upscale accommodations.
So, whether you’re coming by foot, car or boat, Glasstown Brewing Company will be a popular destination this summer and beyond.
