Welcome to the 7th season of the Wallaceburg Farmers’ Market. Our accessible outdoor market is supported by the Downtown Wallaceburg BIA and is run entirely by a group of volunteers. The bi-weekly Saturday markets are set up in heart of Downtown Wallaceburg beginning in June and, for the most part are held rain or shine. Fortunately for us, the sun has shone kindly on on the market the first six years. This actually became a bit of a bit of a joke, people would say they needed the market dates to plan their own events.
The Wallaceburg Farmers’ Market has worked hard to maintain the integrity of a true farmers’ market by vetting it’s vendors to ensure everything is locally grown, small batch produced or handmade so every market is as unique and beautiful as the season. You will not find a reseller at the Wallaceburg Farmers’ Market. In addition to some of the freshest, quality produce in the area you’ll find
amazing products from talented local bakers and artisans. The vision of the market organizers is to set the market up so that visitors can get a large percentage of their groceries at the market. Meats, cheese, all inseason local produce, breads, baked goods, artisan soaps and bath product, flowers, jams, jellies and sauces, it’s all there. There are more types of garlic than you probably knew existed and the same goes for hand made pizza’s ready to take home and bake.
The Wallaceburg Farmers’ Market starts bright and early at 8:00am and wraps up at noon. Be sure to stop by the welcome tent before you leave to say hello to some of the volunteers. We look forward to seeing you this summer at the Wallaceburg Farmers’ Market in Downtown Wallaceburg.
